Nairobi Central Business District is a No go zone for anybody who wishes to demonstrate. This is after cabinet secretary for Interior affairs Fred Matiang’i banned demonstrations in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa cbd.
A close check by Focus Media Group revealed that most businesses were opened, with police patrolling different streets within the CBD.
On the other hand Uhuru Park which is always the meeting point for NASA leaders and their supporters, has been cordoned off by the military to allow them prepare for next Fridays Mashujaa day celebrations.
Anniversary towers to has been sealed by anti-riot police. The said building houses the IEBC offices.
John Mbadi, ODM chairman and Suba Mp has vowed to continue with the demonstration saying that the constitution allows demonstrations and rights to picket.
