It is now official that former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar has switched allegiance from National Super Alliance (Nasa) to Jubilee lead by President Uhuru kenyatta.
In a Jubilee rally in Mombasa, the former senator revealed details that lead to him ditching the opposition to the ruling party Jubilee.
In his speech, Mr Omar said that after losing the Gubernatorial seat to Hassan Joho, Deputy president William Ruto phoned him and this motivated him to ditch the opposition.
Omar suffered defeat to Hassan Joho something that many view as the main reason that led Him ditch the opposition. Omar is the former Wiper Democratic Movement secretary general.
It shall be remembered that in one of his interviews, Mr Omar vowed never to work with president Uhuru Kenyatta terming him as corrupt and indeed a let down to the country.
While addressing a rally in Mombasa county, Mr Omar confessed that Ruto’s call to him made him think twice about his association with the opposition, since no one including his own party leader Kalonzo Musyoka Phoned him to know his fairing on.
” After my loss to Mr Joho, no Nasa principal dared to call me to encourage or even check on me,” said Hassan Omar.
